Man apprehended on suspicion of murder following van collision with three individuals in Ilkeston town centre
A male suspect has been apprehended on suspicion of murder following a van collision with a gathering of individuals in a Derbyshire town centre.


A man sustained severe injuries and passed away at the scene in Ilkeston, while two others were taken to the hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening, as per Derbyshire Police.
The authorities were alerted to the incident at Market Place just after 2:10 am on Saturday.
One man, suspected to be the van’s driver, has been apprehended on suspicion of murder and is presently under police custody.
Derbyshire Police clarified that the incident is not believed to have any links to terrorism.
