MAFS’ Georges strongly criticises ‘rodent’ co-stars for labelling his relationship with Peggy as ‘fake’
Although Married at First Sight UK concluded months ago, there continues to be ongoing tension among its stars. Georges Bert has recently referred to his former co-stars as 'rodents'.
Georges Berthonneau, a participant on Married At First Sight UK, has strongly criticised his former co-stars, labelling them as “rodents” for branding his relationship with Peggy Rose Lawrence, whom he met on the show, as ‘fake’.
In an Instagram Q&A session with fans, the 30-year-old confirmed that he and Peggy are still together, despite the challenges they faced during their time on the show.
Responding to a query from a fan about their current status months after the show ended, Georges expressed his surprise, stating, “Why is this even a question? Yes, we are.”
In another Instagram story, a different fan raised doubts: “Is what Jordan & E [Erica] said about you and P being fake true? Hope not 🙁 fave couple!'” Georges reacted by shaking his head in disagreement.
Later, Georges delved deeper into Jordan’s allegations, emphasising his stance with a video that included several rodent emojis.
He mentioned, ‘I won’t elaborate much, but I will emphasize this: if you’re inclined to believe that a couple, whose only noticeable interactions occurred during dinner arguments for the sake of attention, deserves your trust, then perhaps a session of hypnotism is in order.’
“I urge you not to heed the chatter and instead, let actions convey the truth louder than words.
Erica, Jordan’s partner, who they’re still going strong with, mentioned, “They only meet once a week. They have an arrangement to see each other on a weekly basis.”
During his Instagram Q&A, Georges also addressed the upcoming boxing match between Luke Worley and Jordan. The altercation between them during their time on the show led to Luke’s dismissal.
Georges explained his support for Luke, citing Jordan’s public criticism of his relationship with Peggy. He stated, “I’m not one to sit on the fence, but when Jordan decided to attack me in the media, I reckon he can handle this on his own. Go Team Luke!”
Peggy and Georges recently acknowledged that their experience on the show hasn’t been without its challenges. However, they’ve thrilled their fans by confirming that their relationship remains robust beyond the confines of the experiment.
In a joint statement on Instagram, the couple declared, “CONFIRMED: We’re still together! We chose to hold back on frequent social media updates to prioritise quality time for ourselves after the show concluded.
“Despite being in a relationship, we value our individual identities, and it’s this aspect that contributes to our strength as a couple. As cliché as it may sound, we sincerely thank you all for your patience. It hasn’t been effortless, but sharing our journey with you means the world. Your continuous love and support are everything to us.”
