Ahead of this week’s eagerly anticipated episode of Strictly Come Dancing, there’s been a significant setback for one of the remaining couples. Reports suggest that their chances of reaching the final are in doubt.

As the BBC One dance extravaganza enters its eleventh week, fans brace themselves not only for the quarter-finals but also the much-anticipated Musicals week.

With just five couples left in the competition, all eyes are on the dancefloor as they vie to impress both the judges and the voting audience. The coveted Glitterball trophy is now tantalizingly close, heightening the stakes for each performance.

Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell are slated to showcase their Salsa routine to the iconic tune “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” from the beloved film Dirty Dancing. Meanwhile, Nigel Harman and Katya Jones will grace the stage with a Charleston choreography set to “Step in Time” from the timeless classic Mary Poppins.

Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola are set to captivate audiences with a Quickstep performance to the enchanting tune of “Belle” from Beauty and the Beast. Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe will grace the stage with a Foxtrot rendition to the heartfelt melody “For Good” from Wicked. Meanwhile, anticipation mounts as Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin prepare for a Paso Doble performance, showcasing their skills to the rhythm of “Backstage Romance” from Moulin Rouge.

Nevertheless, following last weekend’s live show, there have been murmurs that Annabel and Johannes might not secure a spot in the final. Despite the former tennis ace proving her mettle alongside her professional dance partner, doubts linger about their chances of making it to the ultimate stage.

Body language expert Darren Stanton, representing Betfair Bingo, remarked, “The progression of Annabel in this competition has been intriguing in recent weeks.”

“It’s been quite unpredictable. There are moments where she seems to struggle, but then she bounces back and astounds everyone. Her dedication and determination were palpable this week, indicating her strong efforts to secure her standing alongside Johannes,” as relayed by the Manchester Evening News.

He commented, “Observing Annabel’s body language, it’s clear she possesses a natural inclination towards timidity and introversion. This is evident as she frequently looks downwards and fidgets with her fingers, using it as a means of distraction.

“Boosting her confidence has played a significant role in her overall progress. She’s shown remarkable receptiveness to feedback and embraced each opportunity. While I believe she’ll persist for a few more weeks, I doubt she’ll secure a spot in the final.”
