Grace Dent, a prominent figure on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’, has departed the jungle due to health reasons, confirmed by ITV. One week into the 2023 series, the food critic and author became the first celebrity to exit the show. A spokesperson conveyed, “Unfortunately, Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.”

Scheduled for Monday’s Bushtucker Trial, Grace’s absence will be filled by another contestant. Earlier, she sought medical attention after encountering a bug in her ear during a previous challenge. In Sunday night’s episode, her distress was evident as she expressed, “I just want to go home. I’ve had enough. I’ve completely had enough. I just want to go home.”

Addressing The Bush Telegraph, she revealed, “I haven’t got a lot left in me at the moment. I’m just keeping on a face for everybody.”

ITV has yet to verify Grace’s motives for departing the jungle. However, in her initial interview upon joining the show, she confessed, “This will be quite a test, and now that I’m older, I believe life is about embracing challenges. That’s one of the reasons why I agreed to this.”

Here’s wishing Grace the best!
