The delightful show, “Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas,” is currently available on Apple TV+. In this hour-long spectacle, the versatile star showcases her talent alongside the English National Opera, the London Gay Men’s Chorus, an 18-piece band, and The Fabulous Lounge Swingers. Alongside these musical performances, Hannah also shares some charming Christmas anecdotes.

For avid followers of “Ted Lasso,” there’s a delightful surprise awaiting them. Co-stars Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard), James Lance (Trent Crimm), Nick Mohammed (Nate Shelley), Kola Bokinni (Isaac McAdoo), and Billy Harris (Colin Hughes) join in for a heartwarming rendition of “The Man with the Bag.”

However, while most of the Lasso cast makes an appearance, Ted actor Sudeikis barely makes the final cut, popping up as a taxi driver towards the show’s conclusion. He arrives just in time to offer a hand in getting Hannah home after her stunning performance at The Coliseum in London.

In an interview with virginradio.co.uk at the Special Screening of Home For Christmas last Wednesday (22nd November), Hannah revealed the heartfelt reason behind Jason’s involvement in her special project, all revolving around Ted.

“Having Jason on board was essential for me,” shared the Eurovision host, reflecting on the profound impact the beloved Apple show has had on her life. “He’s a significant part of why I’m here, and he knows how much I admire him. I approached him with this concept and said, ‘at the very end, I just want it to be you, wrapping it all up.'”

It wasn’t just Jason who made a special appearance; Hannah’s fellow Lasso co-stars Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent) and Juno Temple (Keely Jones) also had their own memorable cameos.

Not content with wowing a jam-packed crowd with her jazz numbers, Hannah didn’t waste a second, jetting off to LA right after filming to collaborate with Brett, Juno, and Jason on the inserts.

She explained, “I crafted each piece with all three of them. So, it’s quite a personal endeavour.”

While away from the Ted Lasso set, Hollywood’s Luke Evans and Tony-winning Leslie Odom Jr., famed for his role in Hamilton, join in to spread festive cheer. Hannah also shares the stage with Sam Ryder, who’s recently dropped a new Christmas tune titled “You’re Christmas To Me.”

Recorded earlier this year at The Coliseum in London, “Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas” showcases the performances of Hannah and her guests, available on a live soundtrack album, out now.

Catch “Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas” on Apple TV+ for a festive delight!
