Chloe Madeley has affectionately praised her ex-husband James Haskell as the “finest dad” in a recent family outing, shortly after their separation earlier this week.
The 38-year-old James and 36-year-old Chloe announced their separation after five years of marriage just days ago, with James describing their breakup as “complex”.
Chloe, who welcomed their daughter Bodhi with James last year, has been providing updates on her activities to her online followers since the announcement of their split. The fitness enthusiast was spotted enjoying a night out with her girlfriends before embarking on a family stroll the next day, joined by James and Bodhi.
In a heartwarming photo shared on her Instagram stories, James can be seen leading the way, with their daughter perched on his shoulders. The family seems to be taking a leisurely walk down the street, accompanied by Chloe’s caption “Best daddy” and a red heart.
The mother of one also mentioned her ex-husband in the photograph, which he subsequently reposted on his own Instagram.
After five years of marriage, the couple made the decision to go their separate ways following weeks of speculation about their relationship.
There were speculations about the duo’s separation as they were frequently seen without their wedding rings on various occasions.
In his Instagram announcement, James stated: “Chloe and I have made the mutual decision to part ways as of late September, 2023. We hadn’t intended to make this statement now – especially not while the television show was still on air – but the constant speculation about our marriage has, regrettably, left us with no choice.”
“In addition to this statement, we won’t be addressing this matter in public, and we kindly ask for privacy during this period. Our primary concern now is our cherished daughter. We will continue to co-parent with nothing but affection.”
During an episode of their podcast “The Good, The Bad & The Rugby,” James opened up to Mike Tindall about his recent separation, describing it as a “complex period.” He explained, “For those who may not be aware, my partner and I have decided to separate. We may be apart, but our commitment to our daughter remains unwavering. This is undoubtedly a challenging time, and we find ourselves navigating it in the public eye. Due to my silence on the matter, speculation has filled the void, particularly in recent weeks.”
