The much-loved BBC personality, Ben Miller, has dropped a hint about an upcoming appearance in this year’s edition of ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’

During his recent appearance on Sunday Brunch (October 22), where he was promoting his new children’s book ‘Once Upon A Legend,’ the ‘Death In Paradise’ actor caused a stir among fans. He was in the company of fellow actor Javone Prince, comedian Ross Noble, historian Tom Holland, and musicians Corinne Baily Ray and the band We Three.

As the daytime cookery show drew to a close, the playful duo inquired about their guests’ future ventures. It was then that the ‘Johnny English’ star shared that he would be heading to Australia and staying there until Christmas, indicating a substantial project in the works.

The acclaimed actor disclosed, “I’m packing for Australia; I leave for Australia tomorrow and will be there until Christmas, so there’s a lot of packing involved. I’m heading to Canberra.” Tim was swift to jest about the festive activities of the father-of-three, suggesting he might be joining the star-studded lineup for the ITV reality show.

He playfully quipped, “Simon, I had no idea they were heading to the Jungle in Canberra this year, did you?” The TV chef responded, “No, I didn’t. I thought they were doing it in Wales. It’s intriguing; I’m not sure where they do it, but it’s certainly interesting.”

Thankfully, Ben chimed in with a jest, saying, “I’m eagerly anticipating those Kangaroo encounters.” This comes after a beloved This Morning personality disclosed that they were invited to join the cast just last week as a last-minute addition.

The upcoming series, hosted by the Geordie duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, is set to grace our screens this autumn. This challenging show will witness the latest batch of celebrities immersing themselves in the Australian jungle, where they will face a series of audacious trials over a span of three weeks.

During Friday’s episode of the ITV show (October 21), Gyles Brandreth disclosed that he had been approached multiple times to join the programme, including this week. However, viewers were left disappointed when he announced that they won’t be seeing him venturing Down Under anytime soon.

He admitted, “I was approached again this year. What’s intriguing is that they evidently had an opening at the last minute because I was approached again just this week, so maybe someone withdrew and they were in urgent need.” When questioned if he would ever consider accepting the opportunity, he confessed, “I’d be terrified. They parachute you in and you walk along that little bridge… not my cup of tea.”

Fans were given a sneak peek at the forthcoming series of I’m A Celebrity last week, when ITV released a brand new trailer on Thursday (October 19). Ant and Dec were spotted in the guise of hotel staff, complete with name badges, promoting a new “jungle retreat.”

A voiceover in the clip announces: “Come away with us. Far, far away, the Jungle Retreat awaits.” While the exact start date for the new series has not been disclosed, reports suggest it will hit the airwaves towards the end of the year.

Traditionally, the show airs at the close of November, and it’s anticipated that it will maintain its regular slot in the schedule.
