Susan Sullivan undergoes surgical procedure following diagnosis of lung cancer
Susan Sullivan, renowned for her role in Castle, has bravely disclosed her battle with lung cancer.
The actress, aged 80, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her health update, alongside a photo from the hospital with oxygen tanks. Her caption, “Life’s surprising little turns try to be ready for them with humor and hope. On we go,” exudes her resilient spirit.
Following her surgery to remove the affected area, the Falcon Crest star expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support. “Thanks for all the lovely comments and concerns. I had lung cancer,” she affirmed. “The surgery was successful. The healing process is a struggle. Thanks, glad you’re out there!”
In a subsequent message, she conveyed her triumph: “Wanted to share with all those friends who have made this journey with me, and that’s you! I am cancer free! You can’t do this one alone. Takes a family of friends and if you’re really lucky a good man. Thank you, Connell!!! Love you.” Susan has shared a partnership with psychologist Connell Cowan since the 1980s.
