Victoria Beckham’s Alarm at Nicola Peltz’s Television Revelation
Amid mounting speculation that Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola, are preparing for a Netflix show, sources inform Closer that his mother, Victoria, is feeling apprehensive.
It appeared that Victoria Beckham and her daughter-in-law, Nicola Peltz, were on the path to reconciliation after over 18 months of reported tension between them. However, despite presenting a united front earlier this month at Victoria’s fashion shows and the premiere of her husband David’s Netflix documentary, ‘Beckham’, insiders suggest that there is now renewed strain following reports that Nicola and her husband Brooklyn may be planning their own tell-all Netflix documentary.
A source reveals, “While Victoria and Nicola seemed to have patched things up, the situation behind the scenes tells a different tale. The Beckhams are adept at projecting a facade of harmony, regardless of what’s really happening. Although there had been some improvement in their relationship, the discord between Nicola and her mother-in-law hasn’t been entirely resolved. There remains an uneasiness between them that’s evident to everyone. Tensions are even more palpable now that Brooklyn and Nicola are contemplating a documentary similar to his father’s, which could potentially bring forth their own grievances.”
After Brooklyn and US model Nicola announced their engagement in July 2020, renowned fashion designer Posh, aged 48, expressed her immense joy for her son and his then-fiancée. She celebrated this momentous news with her husband, David, and their three younger children: sons Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and daughter, Harper, 12.
Over the subsequent months, it appeared that the bond between Posh and Nicola grew stronger. Nicola, aged 28, frequently showcased designs from her future mother-in-law’s fashion line, and Posh took the time to acquaint herself with Nicola’s family in Miami, which includes her affluent father, Nelson, aged 81, and mother, Claudia, aged 68.
As the date of Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding approached in April 2022, reports emerged suggesting a strain in their relationship. Insiders shared with Closer that Posh was feeling somewhat excluded and distant from the wedding preparations.

A source discloses, “Victoria understandably feels apprehensive about what Nicola might divulge—especially considering how TV producers often seek sensational revelations in these candid documentaries. While she and David are seasoned in guarding their privacy, she frets that Nicola could inadvertently make an offhand comment that casts her in an unfavourable light.
“She recognises that Brooklyn and Nicola are celebrities in their own right and have the autonomy to choose opportunities they believe will advance their careers. However, it’s a natural concern for Vic, and it’s left her in a state of anxiety.
“She intends to have a conversation with Brooklyn to mend things and encourage them to exercise discretion if they do decide to pursue this.”
The source continues, “David firmly believes in open communication rather than merely papering over the cracks. He’s advised Vic to have a heart-to-heart with Nicola to air out any grievances.
“She’s agreed to broach the subject with Nicola and hopes that they can finally put this matter to rest. Ultimately, family is the most precious thing in the world to her, and she understands that as long as they remain a close-knit unit, everything will be alright.”
