Katherine Ryan Worried Former Partner, Who Disliked Her, Might Release Intimate Images
Katherine Ryan has disclosed that a former adversary once possessed intimate photographs of her.
The 40-year-old comedian revealed in a recent interview that an unnamed former partner persistently pressured her into sharing explicit photos.
Highlighting the strained relationship, the mother of three expressed her relief that her ex never chose to divulge these private images.
The celebrity clarified that she took these pictures during her younger years, and she always harboured the fear that he might eventually release them.
During a conversation with 59-year-old actress Kathy Burke on her podcast ‘Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake’, Katherine was asked, “Is there anything that you wouldn’t want anybody to find that you better get rid of before you peg it?”
In response, Katherine stated, “On the contrary. I have an ex in particular who is very sexual. And he was always pestering me for naked photos.”
She elaborated, stating, “I’m not the type to engage in explicit content. I’m rather conventional in intimate matters; not inclined towards anything unconventional. Besides, I’m not in the age group where sending explicit images is common.”
Giving a context about when she captured those images of herself, Katherine mentioned, “This dates back to my first smartphone. I remember thinking, ‘I don’t want to take explicit photos of myself…'”
The TV personality, originally from Canada, then admitted that she eventually yielded to persistent requests. She recounted, “After some persuasion, I did take a few, keeping them very tasteful.”
It was at this point that Katherine revealed to Kathy that she had always assumed her former partner would eventually share those intimate pictures.
“I’ve consistently had the sense that he’d likely disclose them, considering we’re somewhat adversaries at this point,” she elaborated.
Stressing their mutual disdain at the time of their separation, Katherine remarked, “We were adversaries when we parted ways. However, he never disseminated them anywhere, which provided me with a great deal of solace back then.”
She then joked, “I breathed a sigh of relief, thinking, ‘Those intimate photos never reappeared.’ But now, having become a mother of a couple of kids and reaching my 40s, I find myself wondering, ‘Well, where are those photos?'”
Katherine has moved on from her days of sharing intimate images, now contentedly settled with her partner, Bobby Kootstra.
The couple initially crossed paths in their homeland, Canada, during their youth, but eventually went their separate ways.
Twenty years later, they reconnected and subsequently welcomed two children into their lives: Fred, aged two, and Fenna Grace, who is now ten months old.
Additionally, Katherine is a proud mother to a 14-year-old daughter named Violet from a previous relationship.
