Authorities mobilize at Aerodrome Road and Sunny Hill Park following incidents of stabbings

Amidst a series of violent incidents that unfolded between October 7 and October 9, the Hendon and Colindale areas witnessed a substantial surge in police activity.

At a certain juncture, an observer attested to the presence of approximately 30 police personnel at Sunny Hill Park, Hendon, on Saturday (October 7).

Locals reported prolonged patrols of police helicopters over Barnet, while others noted officers patrolling on foot in Burnt Oak, Colindale North, Colindale South, and the outskirts of Kingsbury Green.

A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police confirmed that an investigation was underway regarding a potential altercation on Aerodrome Road, Hendon, on Sunday (October 8), around 5:20 pm, subsequent to public reports of an injured individual.

A designated area for a criminal investigation was established, yet no apprehensions were executed.

The spokesperson elaborated: “Inquiries are presently underway, including the meticulous acquisition of CCTV footage.”

Additionally, law enforcement is delving into an incident wherein two individuals sought medical attention for stab wounds, both of which have been assessed as non-life-threatening.

The authority clarified: “At present, there is no indication of a correlation between these incidents, although this assessment is subject to ongoing scrutiny.”
