“I will play in the Olympics next year,” he told reporters on Monday, via Gerald Bourguet of PHNX Sports.

Kevin Durant emerged as the inaugural luminary to affirm his participation in the forthcoming Olympic Games, while an array of fellow luminaries have conveyed their eagerness to partake in the event.

LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum, and Bam Adedayo have also vocalized their inclination to pledge allegiance to Team USA, while it is anticipated that Joel Embiid will join the roster after electing to represent the American side.

The reigning MVP and leading scorer was entitled to compete for three national teams (Team USA, France, Cameroon) and ultimately opted for the American contingent.
