A 12-year-old has sustained life-altering injuries following a dog attack, as reported by the police.
According to Greater Manchester Police (GMP), the incident occurred on Sunday at 11:30 BST in Villa Road, Oldham. Additionally, a 31-year-old woman suffered injuries in the attack, although they are not believed to be either life-changing or life-threatening, as stated by the authorities.
A 43-year-old woman has been apprehended on suspicion of possessing a dangerously out-of-control dog.
A spokesperson from GMP stated that the dog was “securely apprehended” following the dispatch of armed police and a dog unit to the location.
